Poem: Are You The One?

Are you the one?

Are you not?

Would you love to have some fun;

Would you rather not?

Can you see just who I am,

Or could you forget the lot?

Do you see yourself in me,

In our poetry?

Do you feel the sparks a’flying,

From our energy?

When you think of all I am,

Do your clocks stop?

Do you share it all with me,

In your mindseye?

When you lie awake at night,

Do your eyes cry?

Is there one who stole your heart,

Who you care about?

Did you fall head over heels or,

Are in you in doubt?

When you think of what could be,

Do you scream and shout?

If I was just more perfect could

You marry me?

If you can’t do this then, please, god;

Set me free!
